Hi. I’m Liam Farrell.

I’m a Counsellor and a Psychotherapist based in Limerick.


I am an accredited therapist with the Association of Professional Counsellors and Psychotherapists (APCP) and a professional member of The Association of Contextual Behaviour Science (ACBS),with over 7 years of training and experience working as a mental health professional in multiple industries from the corporate and private industries, to the not-for-profit sector.


I provide support and therapeutic intervention for clients globally, working with a broad range of issues including anxiety, trauma, relationship difficulties and work related issues. 


I know from my experience of working with individuals, that you have the ability to make big changes in your life. If you are ready to do the work, you will be amazed at how capable you are to explore parts of yourself you never knew existed. The process of therapy can allow you to grow more quickly than you ever have before.



I am an Integrative Therapist with an emphasis on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT).

Face to Face Therapy


Mind Healing Counselling offers Face-to-Face appointments for counselling in Limerick at our office at


Old Windmill Court Office Suites, William's Lane, Off Lower Gerald Griffin St, Limerick, V94 YRD7.



 I understand that people have busy lives and other commitments so I am flexible with appointment times.

At the end of each session, we will agree on a day and time for the next session, so you don't have to be tied to exactly the same day and time each week.


Your session will be

50 minutes long and costs €69 or

1 hour, 20 minutes long and costs €99



The length of the therapy will depend on the client, the therapeutic goals set

and the types of issues that are being addressed.



Convenient Online Therapy


Therapy is also provided online, from the comfort of your own private space,

saving you the time and stress of travel and traffic.


Through a user friendly and confidential platform, you can speak with me, no matter where you’re living

and from the privacy and convenience of your own space.


The online platform is a confidential forum that makes online counselling accessible and easy to use.

This means you can have regular therapy sessions no matter where you’re living, or if you are unable to, or don't have time to travel.


You will be provided a link to follow, by email, which you can join a few minutes before your session time.

My Therapeutic Approach

Integrative Approach

I take an Integrative Approach, and as the name suggests, this is a combined approach to psychotherapy that brings together different elements of specific therapies. I take the view that there is no single approach that can treat each client in all situations. Rather, each person needs to be considered as a whole, and counselling techniques must be tailored to their individual needs and personal circumstances.


Integrative counselling maintains the idea that there are many ways in which human psychology can be explored and understood - no one theory alone holds the answer. All theories are considered to have value, even if their foundational principles contradict each other - hence the need to integrate them.


Non-Judgmental

The attitude and presence of an integrative counsellor is a crucial element of integrative therapy. The most effective model requires the therapist to be non-judgmental, interpersonal and intent on establishing a supportive and cooperative relationship with their client. They must also engage in deep, attentive listening without the presuppositions that can distort understanding.


This meaningful contact between equals empowers clients - helping them to explore and recognize patterns of behavior that need to be addressed through change and the setting of new goals. This aspect of integrative therapy is often referred to as the personal integration of therapists - they are committing themselves wholly to their client and their exploration of self.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, or CBT, is a combination of two schools of psychology: behavioral psychology and cognitive psychology.

CBT works on the premise that our thoughts affect our behaviors and feelings, and that it is our thoughts that make us feel bad rather than our life circumstances or situations.

It can be used to treat a variety of conditions, including anxiety disorders and depression.
